Summary:animmunemoleculeproducedbyTlymphocytesinresponsetomitogensor antigens.Immuneinterferon（IFN-gamma）showslittlehomologywithleukocyte（IFN-alpha）andfibroblast（IFN-beta）interferons.Seeotherlocibeginning<HUMIFN>.IFN-gammaprotein（35,000to70,000mwaspresentlyestimated）hasbothantiviralandantitumorigeniccapabilities.Unliketheotherinterferons,itsgenehasthreeinterveningsequences,thefirstofwhichcontainsarepetitiveelement.[5],[3]arguethatthereisonlyoneIFN-gammageneperhaploidgenome.[1]analyzesthepromoterregionandreportstwosequenceshomologoustosequencesinthepromoter regionsofchickenalbuminandthehumanIFN-betagenes（bases234-241;276-289）.[8]studiestheIFN-gammasequencerecombinedtothepgkpromotersegmentofyeast.
